Everton supporters have been in high spirits in the Transfer Tavern this week after seeing their side get back to winning ways in the Premier League courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Saturday.
Sam Allardyce’s men went into their encounter with the Eagles off the back of being thumped 5-1 by Arsenal in their preceding league match, a result which saw them slip to just seven points clear of the bottom three. Yet the Toffees put greater distance between themselves and the relegation zone on Saturday as goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson, Oumar Niasse, and Tom Davies sealed a comfortable success for the Merseysiders, with Luke Milivojevic’s late penalty proving to be nothing more than a consolation for the travelling Palace supporters.
Thus, there have been many delighted Evertonians in the Tavern this week, several of whom are hoping that Saturday’s win can be the catalyst for a run of form that puts the threat of relegation to bed for good.
In the meantime though, there has been much for our resident Toffees to get their teeth into, not least recent revelations from striker Sandro Ramirez that he wishes to stay at Sevilla beyond the summer.
The 22-year-old only made the move to Goodison Park last year but seriously struggled to make a meaningful impact, failing to net a Premier League goal before ultimately being shipped out on loan to the La Liga outfit for the rest of the campaign.
Yet, after just two weeks at the Spanish side, the forward reportedly sees his future there as opposed to at Everton, an admission which hasn’t overly surprised many Toffees supporters on Twitter…
Why would he want to stay? Didn’t really get a chance at us. Koeman tried to play him through bad form to let him find his feet and then Unsy & Allardyce just never picked him. The lad needed time and patience. Chance to go back home, why wouldn’t he take it?!….

Absolutely no surprise at all he’s a young lad in a new country and he’s been pretty much ignored by 3 managers why would he want to com back to our basket case of a club – they’re playing Man Utd in the Champions League next week!

I do not blame Sandro at all. He is back in Spain playing the type of football he knows and I hope he proves to be the player we hoped he should have been at Everton. Good luck to the young man.

Can’t blame them. Talented players not getting a sniff.

Who can blame him? I imagine he’s not the only player looking elsewhere given the current set up.

Whatever you think of Sandro Ramirez’s form during his six months at Everton, it’s worrying that he is so intent to continue with Sevilla after just two weeks there. Especially when you see how desperate Lookman appeared to want out too. #EFC
