Many Everton fans have commented on a recent social media post from Brazilian midfielder Bernard, who revealed how much he is missing football.
Bernard arrived at Goodison Park from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018 and he has gradually been impressing fans. The 27-year-old has made 19 league appearances this term for the Toffees, contributing with three goals and two assists.
Having had a hand in five goals, the £14.4m-valued ace will be expecting to play a part in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans over the end of the current season and beyond. The Italian boss is expected to make a number of changes to his squad this summer, but Bernard has a current deal on Merseyside until the summer of 2022.
Sitting 12th in the Premier League standings at present, Everton fans will be hoping the Brazilian can play a further part in helping their side move up the league table when football returns.
A postponement in fixtures due to the recent pandemic has seen football come to a standstill, and the Belo Horizonte born footballer has revealed how much he is missing the game in a post on his official Twitter account.
