Many Everton fans have discussed the future of Mason Holgate, with some fans believing he will go on to become captain of the club.
The 23-year-old is gradually starting to become a key player under Carlo Ancelotti at Everton, having appeared in 22 Premier League games this season.
Having signed for the Toffees from Barnsley in 2015, the Doncaster born defender had played a bit-part role at Goodison Park, spending time out on loan to West Bromwich Albion for the back end of last season.

Impressive performances and a confidence shown in him by former AC Milan and Real Madrid boss Ancelotti has inspired the youngster to continue with his good form, and his efforts have warranted praise from the club’s fans.
Capable of playing at right-back, central midfield or centre-back (his usual position), the £12.15m-valued ace will expect to play a bigger part next season as Ancelotti looks to build a squad at Everton capable of taking on the top four sides in the Premier League.
Speaking in a recent interview, Holgate commented on his decision to join Everton as a youngster, which was shared by @thetoffees_com, prompting fans to give their thoughts on Holgate’s comments…
