As per the club, the central midfield player has joined the French outfit, managed by former Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira, for an undisclosed fee.

It is perhaps safe to say that Schneiderlin did not exactly thrive at Goodison Park, having made 88 appearances across four consecutive seasons, according to Transfermarkt.

The 30-year old only completed the full 90 minutes in 50 of these games, and had only managed to contribute one goal and two assists during his time with the Blues (via the website).

Having arrived for a whopping £20.7 million from Manchester United back on the 12th January 2017, perhaps more was expected of the French international.
