Whilst most of the fans here in the Transfer Tavern were bored to sleep watching Liverpool and Manchester United by the bar, the Everton fans were in hysterics.
Not only were they seeing their Merseyside rivals being frustrated but a much-maligned striker in their ranks was doing something unthinkable – scoring goals.
Oumar Niasse was one of the final signings under Roberto Martinez and it’s safe to say he was one of the Spaniard’s worst.
He’s made very little impact during his time on Merseyside and could be considered one of the biggest flops the Premier League has ever seen, but he could just be on his way to start turning things around.
Last night the Everton U23’s travelled to play Reading with Niasse playing up top and he duly bagged a hat-trick.
Yes, you read that right, Oumar Niasse scored not just once, but three times, all in one half.
