Loads of Everton fans have been lauding Ellis Simms after he scored a fine goal for the Under 23’s versus Derby County.
As per a clip shared by Toffee TV on their Twitter page, Simms played his part in the build-up leading up to his finish as he chested the ball down to his teammate before running in behind the defence and slotting home into the near post with his left foot.

He also scored the fourth goal with another neat finish past the goalkeeper after being put through to make it a 4-1 win for the Merseyside club on the night.
The 19-year old has scored no fewer than 10 times in 26 games in all competitions for the Under 23’s (via Transfermarkt), as some members of the Goodison Park faithful have questioned as to whether he should be given a chance by Carlo Ancelotti in the first team.

These EFC supporters lauded Simms, with one Toffee labelling him as an ‘excellent’ finisher, while another Blue even claimed that he is ‘better than Kean,’ who has only managed to score a mere four strikes in 37 matches over all competitions so far for the Toffees (per Transfermarkt):
His finishing always looks insane , love to see him get a few mins in 1st team

It’s excellent . Think his finishing is a lot sharper than DCL when he first broke in to the first team .
