The Premier League has released a statistic surrounding Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s current form. Since Carlo Ancelotti took over at the hilt in December, no other player has scored more goals than the young Toffee and fans are in dreamland over the growth of their striker.
Calvert-Lewin has scored eight Premier League goals since the Ancelotti reign began on Boxing Day, taking his overall total up to 13 league goals. His double-figure goal tally sees him enter the top ten highest scorers for this season – DCL now has the same amount of goals to his name as the likes of Raúl Jimenez and Sadio Mané (via BBC Sport).
Everton fans couldn’t be happier with the way Calvert-Lewin has flourished this season after he has more than doubled the number of goals scored last campaign (via Transfermarkt).
Many fans are so impressed with the 22-year-old’s current form that they are imploring Gareth Southgate to give him a chance in the England set-up. Even Geoff Shreeves is wondering if Southgate will offer Calvert-Lewin a ‘supporting cast role’ after he was in attendance at Goodison Park on Sunday.
DCL terrrorised those 2 experienced central defenders all game. Some superb touches in addition.
What a player he is becoming
