Everton: Fans rave over superb Andre Gomes performance against West Ham

Putting a four-game losing streak to bed at the weekend, there were a few standout performers — and Andre Gomes was one of them.

Having signed permanently for the Toffees in the summer transfer window from Barcelona in a £22 million deal, Gomes continues to show he is worth every penny following his successful loan spell last season.

The midfielder impressed along with Tom Davies, retaining possession of the ball and dominating the middle of the park, allowing Everton to constantly pressure visitors West Ham.

Thanks to the contribution of the midfield duo, Everton finished the game with a slightly higher ball possession percentage than their opponents (via WhoScored).

Gomes a key factor to his side’s impressive victory, making 1 key pass, and the 2-0 win now alleviates some of the pressure on under-fire boss Marco Silva following a slow start to the campaign.
