According to an update courtesy of Fourth Official, Everton have allegedly reopened talks to try and sign Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha in a late deadline day transfer twist – but the Toffees may find it hard given the Eagles’ stance on listening to late offers.
Indeed, as per this report, sporting director Marcel Brands has registered an interest – making contact over Zaha coming up to the eleventh hour.

However, manager Roy Hodgson recently revealed in a press conference that Palace would not be entertaining deadline day bids for Zaha – putting a slight dampener on this potential late development.
It’s been quite the transfer window for manager Carlo Ancelotti and arguably the club’s best in years, with Brands arguably masterminding swoops for James Rodriguez, Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and, just today, Ben Godfrey.
Now, at least according to the Fourth Official, Zaha is at the centre of interest as well – prompting Toffees to swoon over this update regardless of the difficulty surrounding a potential move.
