Loads of Everton fans have been reacting to the latest transfer link, as reports claim they at the front of the queue to sign Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino.
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Everton have made contact with Inter over a move but the San Siro outfit will not drop their asking price below €20m (£16.9m). Pedulla claims two other proposals have arrived for the 28 year-old but that the Toffees are leading the way.
Everton are of course in dire need of midfield reinforcements after the horrific injury suffered by Andre Gomes, as Tom Davies has not quite kicked on in the way many may have hoped and both Gylfi Sigurdsson and Morgan Schneiderlin have angered fans with their poor displays this campaign.
Vecino is a combative midfielder who loves getting stuck in, averaging 1.9 tackles per game in Serie A this season while that number increases to 2.3 per game in the Champions League, where he also chips in with 2.3 interceptions per game, via Whoscored. He also boasts a goal and two assists in his 14 league appearances this season.
