Lots of Everton fans were shocked that the Toffees rejected an approach from Tottenham for defender Michael Keane in January.
The 27-year-old has been at Goodison Park since his £30m move from Burnley in 2017 and has come under heavy criticism during the current campaign. Despite this, Football Insider revealed that the north London side has been tracking the progress of the England international for some time, having graduated from Manchester United’s academy, as per TransferMarkt.
The Merseyside club swiftly rejected the approach as they were not keen to let go of any first-team defender during the winter months. However, if the decision was left up to the Gwladys Street faithful, some would have acted differently. One fan said that the club should get rid of him, while another said that he would drive him to north London himself.
