Everton: Fans react to Yerry Mina transfer speculation

Everton fans are speculating over whether Barcelona may trigger their buy-back clause in Yerry Mina’s contract as the club is reportedly looking to sign a 24/25-year-old ball-playing defender (via Gerard Romero).

The Catalans could look to spend some big money this coming transfer window as they build an almost completely new squad around Lionel Messi. Barca are reportedly looking for at least two defenders (one centre-back and one right-back) and two forwards (via Sport).

There is no concrete talks of Barcelona wanting to re-sign Yerry Mina, 25, but Everton fans are monitoring the news regardless.

The Colombian joined the Toffees in 2018 and has a buy-back option in his contract. The La Liga leaders can pay €60 million (£52 million) at any given time to open negotiations with Mina (via Onefootball).

Blues fans are divided in their opinions on a potential swoop for Mina, with several keen on him staying. One fan however has said ‘I could think of worse deals’.
