Everton headed to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea this Sunday and, against all odds, managed to secure a very impressive draw to keep their momentum going.
It was to be a defenders day, with both teams putting in valiant performances at the back to keep opposing forwards at bay.
Chelsea were always going to be the more likely to keep a sheet, given how solid they have been defensively this season; however, Everton, who haven’t been the best at the back, certainly surprised a lot of people with their efforts.
Indeed, Marco Silva’s faith in defender Yerry Mina certainly paid off with the player putting in a man of the match performance despite only recently returning from a lengthy stint on the sideline.
With great risk comes great reward.
The Colombian won 100% of the aerial duels he was involved in and finished the game with 91% passing accuracy.
Solid game from a very promising looking player.
