Everton fans remained upbeat about pursuing Brazilian forward Everton Soares after a setback in relation to Financial Fair Play.
Despite the Toffees willing to spend in upwards of £25.3m, the club’s recent revenue loss announced at the Blues’ AGM could hinder their progress in bringing the Gremio winger to Goodison Park, along with the fact that they are about to build a new stadium on the Bramley-Moore Dock. With the transfer deadline so close, manager Carlo Ancelotti could wait until the summer to get his man.
Globo Esporte, cited by Sport Witness, revealed that the negotiations are being handled by agent Giuliano Bertolucci, the same individual who worked on the deals to bring both Richarlison and Bernard to Merseyside. Despite the bump in the road, supporters remained optimistic about Everton making the move and made their feelings clear on social media.
