Everton now look set to lose Cenk Tosun this summer, as Besiktas have made an offer for the striker, with talks currently ongoing.
The Lowdown: Flop
It is safe to say that the 30-year-old has been a flop since his arrival at Goodison Park back in 2018 in a whopping £27m deal.
Should Everton sell Tosun?
The 45-cap Turkey international has only managed a mere 11 goals in total over 61 games for the club across all competitions (Transfermarkt), which is simply not a good enough output for that kind of outlay.
Nonetheless, with his contract on Merseyside expiring in the summer, he now looks set to leave for good.
The Latest: Offer made for Tosun
As per Turkish news outlet Sabah, an offer of a three-year contract has now been made by Beskitas to take Tosun back before the end of the season.
Talks between the parties are ongoing as they look to strike a deal for his departure.
The Verdict: Get rid
Given that Tosun is currently earning £60,000-per-week at Everton, now is the best time to just get rid of him.
The Turkey international has played a mere 11 minutes of football in total so far this season, and at 30 years of age, he could now be past his best.
Nonetheless, with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison still at Goodison Park, he will not be missed all that much.
