Everton keen on summer move for £25m-rated playmaker

The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are hopeful that Ronald Koeman can take his side to the next level this summer…

It has been a somewhat up and down season so far for the Toffees, with great results against the likes of Man City often contrasted with disappointing defeats and draws just weeks later.

It cannot be denied, though, that there has been some real progress since the arrival of Ronald Koeman – and it would appear as though the Dutchman wants to see even more growth.

In order to achieve that, though, a few new signings should be forthcoming this summer – and it appears as though Ronald Koeman has found the man that he wants.

According to Bleacher Report, Swansea City star Gylfi Sigurdsson is among the targets at Goodison Park this summer – with a fee of between £20 and £25 million reportedly enough to get the Swans to consider the deal.

Certainly, it would be a huge move for Everton, with Sigurdsson arguably one of the Premier League’s most underrated players.

In truth, it has been a good few weeks at Goodison Park. The renewal of Romelu Lukaku’s contract, which is reportedly incoming, should serve as a means of keeping the Belgian at the club this summer – and if Sigurdsson arrives, the combinations that the duo could create going forward might just take Everton to the next level.

With an impressive 8 goals and 10 assists this season, in an underperforming Swansea City side, Sigurdsson is set to be a man in demand this summer – and Everton are seemingly at the top of the list of potential destinations.
