A number of fans in the Transfer Tavern have been slating West Ham as their shock move from PSG’s Javier Pastore looks set to fall through. According to Sky Sports, the stumbling block in the deal was the player’s wages, as Pastore’s demanding up to £190,000 per week, something which the club simply cannot afford.

The links with Pastore came as Pellegrini has promised the fans an attacking revolution at The London Stadium next season and the Chilean manager will be looking to add to the attacking players he’s already got. The club already employs Javier Hernandez, Marko Arnautovic, Andy Carroll, Michail Antonio and Manuel Lanzini and Pellegrini will look to achieve a top ten finish next season after their close encounter with relegation this year.
Whilst Pastore is set to miss out on a move to London, the club could be set to land Marlon Santos from Barcelona in a deal for around £20 million. The club looked like they’d done sound business in the window last season, although it wasn’t to be as their on-loan ‘keeper Joe Hart failed to live up to expectations, despite Arnautovic’s and Hernandez’s goalscoring exploits for the club.
