Next season is set to be a huge test for Danish defender Kevin Wimmer, who has the opportunity to be a regular fixture in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line-up alongside defensive stars Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen in a three-man defensive line.
Speculation that Eric Dier could be on his way out this summer will hand Wimmer a huge boost in his quest for regular football, as he’s made just five Premier League appearances this season. With a chance on the final day, he could show Pochettino he’s capable of being a starter next season.
