Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking about his achievements during his time with the club this week.
The Argentine was dismissed by Spurs back in November after a reign which lasted five years, leaving them languishing in 14th place in the Premier League after a 1-1 draw against Sheffield United in his last game in charge. He was replaced by Jose Mourinho, who has guided the club up the table in the short time he has been in the dugout and they currently sit in sixth place (BBC Sport).
After having time to reflect, it seems that Pochettino is proud of what he achieved whilst at the helm at Tottenham. Indeed he said: “I feel very proud with the success we had, to take Tottenham to a different level. To play Champions League for 3 or 4 years and finish above Arsenal many times was a great legacy for us,” (via Evening Standard).
The former Espanyol boss is certainly correct to say that he and his staff helped take Spurs to the next level – indeed they finished in the top four in four successive seasons which ensured Champions League qualification, something that they only previously done so on one occasion in 2010/11 under Harry Redknapp (UEFA.com).

Loads of Tottenham fans have been reacting to Pochettino’s comments on Twitter and many of them do not agree with the 47-year-old. Indeed, they aren’t happy with what he said about being pleased with his legacy, given that he never managed to win a trophy whilst in charge.
