West Ham: Fans rage at ExWHUemployee transfer update

West Ham United tried and failed to bring in new players on transfer deadline day.

It seems the Hammers were dead set on bringing in a new central defender during the last 24 hours of the window, but in the end they were unable to do so. They were interested in both Fikayo Tomori and Antonio Rudiger, but both ended up staying at London rivals Chelsea.

Of course, there is still time for the Irons to complete some more deals. Whilst the international window has now closed, clubs can still make domestic moves from EFL sides. According to ExWHUemployee, West Ham now plan to target a number of Championship players between now and October 16th, when that respective transfer window slams shut.
