The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to the North London derby. The Lilywhites and Arsenal have a long and storied rivalry, and every time they meet, fireworks typically fly.
Indeed, it has all the makings of a top fixture, and given Tottenham’s recent fine form, Mauricio Pochettino will no doubt feel confident that his side will have what it takes to secure a win.
Of course, he also has two of Europe’s best attackers to select from in Harry Kane and Dele Alli, and they will no doubt have an impact on how the game plays out.
Making your debut in the North London derby is quite the baptism of fire, but our landlord reckons that the Brazilian could have the magic touch that Spurs need.
Here are TWO reasons why Moura could be the difference maker against Arsenal today…
Offensive Trickery

If there’s one thing that people know about Lucas Moura, it’s the technical brilliance that he posses with the ball at his feet.
He’s able to create magic with the ball by dribbling past people with ease and twisting and turning around defenders.
Tottenham don’t really have anyone like that in the team, and that will give Pochettino another string in his bow as he looks to outwit Arsene Wenger.
Dele Alli and Harry Kane are efficient, but neither possess as much raw technical ability as Moura.
Unknown Quantity

Whilst Arsenal will, of course, be aware of what Moura can do – his role in the Spurs team will undoubtedly be somewhat of an unknown quantity, in that Arsenal won’t quite know how to deal with him.
You know exactly what you’re going to get with both Dele Alli and Harry Kane, and whilst on their day both are unstoppable, you can at least prepare as much as possible to have the best chance of dealing with them.
In Moura, Arsenal don’t really know what they’ve got to deal with. They don’t know how he will adjust to life in England, they don’t know how Pochettino will use him, and they don’t know what job he’s going to be tasked with.
The element of surprise could make Moura deadly.
