Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern really are feeling optimistic at the moment with Ronald Koeman doing a fine job in his maiden year at the club.
The former Southampton man arrived at the beginning of the year with plenty expected of him and he has certainly begun to live up to that in getting the Toffees back into Europe for next season.
Of course, he’ll want to achieve more than that in his time at Goodison Park but there certainly is a lot of potential with the young players coming through and the key stars beginning to commit to the project.
Indeed, Seamus Coleman is the latest to sign a new deal with the club – penning a five year deal – and you certainly can’t deny that that is a nod to the belief in where the side is headed.
