Many Glasgow Rangers fans have been whipped into a frenzy by one particular transfer update, even though the player in question won’t be coming to Ibrox.
Sky Sports reported on Monday that Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz is pushing hard to have his prospective £70m move (plus add-ons) to Chelsea completed before the Bundesliga side face the ‘Gers in the second leg of their Europa League round of 16 clash on Thursday week.
As per Sky Sports, the 21-year-old is eager to get his move to Stamford Bridge over the line, with the transfer fee believed to be the only hold-up to a deal being finalised.
Kai Havertz is pushing hard for Bayer Leverkusen to agree a deal with Chelsea before the Bundesliga side's Europa League match against Rangers next week.

Havertz scored for Leverkusen in their 3-1 win at Ibrox in the first leg back in March and has netted 17 goals so far in the 2019/20 season, including three in his last three games in the Europa League. [via TransferMarkt]
