Good news at last concerning West Ham United’s new home

As quoted by Talksport, Slaven Bilic has said that his West Ham players are finally feeling at home in the London Stadium with our resident Hammers fans here in the Transfer Tavern hoping that translates into better results.

The club have not had the best start to their season but have looked better in recent weeks, and their last home game was arguably their most promising so far in this campaign.

That fixture was a 2-1 EFL Cup victory over Chelsea in which, during the game, the atmosphere was the best the stadium has seen as the Hammers proved too much for their London rivals.

And, ahead of their latest home tie against Stoke City in the Premier League this weekend, Bilic feels that the players have now adjusted nicely to their new surroundings.

The Croatian said, reflecting on the atmosphere: “We felt really great and also because of that atmosphere we played well, and it felt good because we had the fans behind us so we couldn’t ask for a better atmosphere.”

The Hammers go into the game three points off of Southampton in ninth place.

Our landlord can see West Ham going on a good run of form now, and thinks West Ham will have the better of Stoke City this weekend.
