Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are confident things are going to come good for their club despite a setback against Tottenham at the weekend.
The Toffees had built up quite a decent head of steam before losing at White Hart Lane on Sunday and Ronald Koeman will surely have noted where his side are lacking in order to reach the best sides in the table.
Indeed, they’ll surely be looking to add to their squad in the summer in order to bridge the gap and our landlord thinks they’re pretty well placed to do so with Steve Walsh a part of their recruitment team.
Walsh, of course, was part of the team that set up Leicester to go on and win the league with the signing of N’Golo Kante undoubtedly his finest moment.
Toffees fans will be hoping he does the same for their side now, too, and as reported in his interview with The Times, he already feels the club have a Kante like player.
That man goes by the name of Idrissa Gueye and you can certainly see the similarities with the former Aston Villa man just as industrious as Kante.
Walsh said: “He’s very grounded, gets whacked, gets up, gets around people when they have the ball, very much like Kante.”
Could the Toffees win the league soon, then? Only time will tell.
