The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are at a loss for words regarding their side’s current Premier League form. Despite emerging as one of the main contenders for the title this season, they’ve really struggled in recent weeks, and a few of the more cynical fans amongst those in the pub are already writing them off for a top-four finish this term.
It’s certainly too early to suggest anything like that, but it’s fair to say that things aren’t looking very good for Tottenham.
Fortunately, the Spurs faithful do have something to smile about today owing to a recent announcement over on the club’s official Twitter page. As confirmed on the page, Harry Winks has recovered from a bout of illness and is available for selection this weekend against Watford.

Winks has been a crucial member of the Spurs first team this season, with his influence seemingly increasing on a weekly basis. Providing technical ability, a fantastic range of passing and a solid engine, the Englishman is so key to Pochettino’s plans.
He has also emerged as a real fan favourite in recent weeks, so it will be no surprise to learn of the unanimous delight amongst Spurs fans online in response to the news. Many fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the announcement, and it’s fair to say that they are quite happy.
