The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have finally been given some good news to take the attention away from the Yorkshire club’s diabolical run of form on the pitch. According to a story by Phil Hay in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United have opened up talks with Pablo Hernandez over a new contract at Elland Road.
Hernandez has been one of only a handful of players who Leeds fans are proud to see wearing the famous White shirt this season. The fans have had to suffer a horrible second half to their current campaign as they’ve only won a single game since the turn of the year, after a promising start to the season that had fans dreaming of a Premier League return.
Despite Leeds’ promotion push having tailed off over the last few months, the Elland Road faithful will be confident that they can make a decent attempt to climb out of the Championship in the next few years. The fans are positive that if they keep their key players like Hernandez tied down and happy with long-term deals then it’s only a matter of time before they reinstate their Premier League status.

Hopefully if Hernandez signs it might encourage other players from other teams to want to come.

Got to be 2 yr deal & if we don't get promoted next season, we can let him go if he wants to – if we DO get promoted , his experience will be vital in the prem
