Several West Ham United supporters have been discussing the form of defender Arthur Masuaku on social media, with many slamming the 26-year-old.
The DR Congo international has been in and out of the team during the 2019/20 campaign, playing in 14 of their 25 Premier League fixtures so far including nine starts (Transfermarkt). Manuel Pellegrini didn’t seem to fancy him and often left him on the bench, but since the arrival of David Moyes, his appearances have become more regular, playing in all six league matches since the Scot took charge (Transfermarkt).
Under Moyes, Masuaku has been tried at both left-back and in a more advanced left-wing back/left-midfield position (Transfermarkt) but it seems that the majority of Hammers fans haven’t been impressed with his performances in either role.

Indeed, several of them have taken to Twitter to slam the former Olympiacos man after fan account @irons_united asked supporters to discuss what they thought of him, with one even suggesting that he is the “worst player at the club.”
Here is what some had to say…
Awful. Been saying it for 4 seasons. No positional sense, no in game intelligence. Massively over hyped as an attacking player… his level is the Greek league which is where we signed him from

Worst player at the club

Not good enough in any position.
— Chris (@chrisyarns) February 4, 2020
I think his time is up. His positioning is terrible and he doesn’t sense danger. Should be dropped.
— Chris Taylor (@Joejack01) February 4, 2020
I fail to see a single attribute he brings that contributes to the team
Awful positional sense, no awareness of danger, and what’s the point of having pace if you only use it to run down blind alleys.
Wouldn’t have him anywhere near the team at the moment.— Marcus Johns (@Johnsie31) February 4, 2020
Horrendously overrated at any position. Total liability
— Fan of the Board (@LoveGoldnSully) February 4, 2020
Anyone who thinks Masuako is a better footballer than Cresswell knows nothing about the game. He’s so one footed iota a constant risk and he’s a liability

Absolutely dreadful- certainly not good enough for Premier League – doesn’t sense danger – has skill ability but no end product just makes me nervous every time i see him
