West Ham are eyeing a £30m deal for Lyon forward Moussa Dembele, according to The Sun,
Dembele on Moyes’ radar
Dembele, according to the report, is frustrated at the lack of playing time he has received during the current campaign – he has started five of his side’s 10 Ligue 1 games so far.

Now, he could be available, and it is said that David Moyes is on red alert. Fellow Premier League side Manchester United are believed to also be interested in the former France U21 international.
Quality player
So far this term, things have not gone Dembele’s way – he has failed to score even once. However, last season he was in top form, scoring 24 goals in 46 games in all competitions. He also managed 20 strikes in his first campaign in France in 2018/19. Compatriot Zinedine Zidane has even made comparisons to the likes of Ronaldo, Thierry Henry and Raul.

At Celtic, he netted 51 times in 94 matches – quite frankly, Dembele is a deadly goalscorer who would be a brilliant signing for the Hammers if they could convince him to make the move. Given that the Red Devils are also said to be in pursuit, they are unlikely to be his preferred choice. However, his signature could take the Irons to the next level.
