‘He can sod off!’ - Tottenham fans on Twitter blunt in response to worrying reports

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing the future of their Argentine gaffer, Mauricio Pochettino. The Spurs boss who’s held the role for over four years is top of Florentino Perez list to replace Zinedine Zidane, who resigned from his post yesterday, according to The Guardian.

The Tottenham fans propping our bar up would not want to see Poch leave under any circumstances. The ex-Southampton man has created a winning mentality in the last four years and has helped the Lilywhites to secure their three highest ever Premier League finishes since the league’s inception in 1992, finishing 3rd, 2nd and 3rd in the last three seasons, with two of those being in genuine title races.

Now though, after this season’s performances in the Champions League against Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, a number of Europe’s top clubs have stopped to watch Tottenham and taken note of their superb young gaffer. Pochettino will be well sought after this summer and it will be one of Daniel Levy’s key jobs to keep the manager in his role, as the club look to kick on and start winning silverware in North London.
