The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the club’s latest contract update. Pablo Hernandez has been one of the best performers in the current Leeds squad this season, he’s scored five goals and registered eight assists in 34 appearances in the Championship this season.
The Spanish winger, who’s picked up four caps for Spain, has taken the captain’s armband for The Whites on a number of occasions this season and has proved his worth to Paul Heckingbottom’s side this season despite the club’s awful form in 2018. The club have won only a single game in 2018 after a very promising start to the season which saw them top England’s second-tier for two weeks in September.
The fans will be desperate to tie up their Spanish winger as they aim to hold down a number of their more influential players whilst cutting out the deadwood for next season. The Elland Road faithful have spent a long time watching star players leave for Premier League Club’s as they continue to stagnate in the Championship. Next year will be The Whites’ ninth straight season in the Championship and whilst the fans dream of a Premier League return, it looks a long way off for the Yorkshire club at the moment.

He needs signing & he should end up on the coaching staff if he fancies it. We let too many gems slip through the net & we don’t see many internationals from the top ranked sides at the club these days.
