Spurs fans here in the Tavern have been on the end of some disappointing results of late, and feel like it could be down to a change of home.
The Lilywhites have bid farewell to a part of the club’s history over the past year, having parted company with the stadium that fans grew to love in the 118 years they spent at White Hart Lane.
On the 14th May 2017, Tottenham entertained Manchester United in their last outing at White Hart Lane, with Harry Kane scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 win, resulting in tears flooding to the faces of many as they said their last goodbyes.
Now playing all of their home games at England’s national Stadium Wembley, builders are hard at work to produce a rejuvenated White Hart Lane that is set to be opened for the beginning of the 2018-19 season.
With many Spurs fans claiming that ‘there’s no such thing as a home game’, many of the sides recent torrid results have been put down to the fact that they’re playing their home games at Wembley, with a lack of atmosphere due to all the empty seats becoming the talking point. So, with their old Stadium forever in their heart, the Tottenham Twitter account took to posting a Tweet that let fans relive the best moments at White Hart Lane.
