The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have been responding to a tweet from Swansea’s Oliver McBurnie. The 22-year-old who spent the second half of the season on loan at Barnsley has had our local Gers trying to persuade him to make the switch to Ibrox as he praised after the youngster made the switch from Rangers’ academy to Chelsea’s academy.

The Gers propping ur bar up would love to see a Scottish goalscorer who can consistently deliver in big games at the club. This season has been a tough one for the club, with a number of both highs and lows that they can look back on, but ultimately it will go down as a failure as the club failed to win any silverware and were beaten comfortably by their Old Firm rivals in almost every clash with them.
If McBurnie did make the switch to play under Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard then he would be under immense pressure to perform, as he is with the national team. The Scotish striker who plays for Welsh club Swansea in the English PremierLeague has won four caps for Scotland, although he’s yet to score a goal and if he was to move to Glasgow and have similar problems, the goldfish bowl that is Ibrox could well swallow him up.

It’s obvious that the Rangers fans would all love to see the young Scot make the move north of the border to become a Bluenose, but that deal looks a long way off at the moment, so the fans will just have to wait.
