West Ham United fans here in the Tavern are hoping for a few signings in the summer transfer window, as they’ll look to improve in the next campaign.

Indeed, the Hammers have failed to meet expectations in the current campaign as many thought they’d be sitting mid-table, but they still find themselves flirting with the possibility of relegation. So, there’s plenty of improvements to be had over the summer, as a number of players could be heading for the exits in order to make room for any possible additions.

Interestingly, it appears that left-back Arthur Masuaku could be on his way out of the London Stadium in the summer transfer window, as Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a £20 million move. Therefore, the Hammers may need to dip into the transfer market for a suitable replacement, as a huge void will be left if the Frenchman decides to leave.

Nevertheless, here’s a look at TWO players that West Ham United need to sign to replace him…

Ryan Bertrand

Indeed, Ryan Bertrand has certainly had a season to remember as he’s established himself as England’s primary left-back, and continues to impress on a domestic level for current club Southampton.

However, the Saints are currently heading for relegation which could open the door for him to leave in the summer, as West Ham United may look to swoop in for one of the country’s best defenders.

Nevertheless, the London club must look to bring Bertrand in as a replacement if Masuaku ends up departing, as he can produce consistent top class performances in what has been a fragile defensive line.

Joe Bryan

Joe Bryan continues to grind out world-class performances for current club Bristol City as a move to the Premier League may not be too far away, after another promising season in the Championship.

Although, the Hammers may struggle to lure him away from Ashton Gate as Lee Johnson will do everything he can to keep the defender, but losing Masuaku could provide the funds needed to go out and sign one of the country’s most promising left-backs.

Therefore, David Moyes should look to bring the defender to the London Stadium in the summer transfer window, as he would be able to slot right into proceedings after showing his class against the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United already this season.
