Nacer Chadli scored against his old side, and looks a great signing for the Midlands club, before Dele Alli equalised in the last few minutes.
Nevertheless, it was a good sign for Baggies fans that they can compete with the very best in the league on their day and that is what they want to be doing week in, week out, but some sections of the support don’t think Tony Pulis can help deliver that.

Pako Ayestaran
The former Liverpool assistant knows the Premier League well from his time with Rafa Benitez, and despite his struggles at Valencia recently, too much shouldn’t be read into that
. The Spanish club are a bit of a poisoned chalice right now, ask Gary Neville, and whilst Cesare Prandelli is now taking that on, Ayestaran is available with good experience and coaching skills as well as decent knowledge of Spanish footballers.
Marcelino
The former Villarreal boss took his club to the Europa League quarter finals where they were eventually beaten by Liverpool, but that kind of run suggests he knows what he’s doing at the level West Brom would obviously like to be at.
Marcelino would be the kind of manager that could help take the Midlands side on to bigger things if they decide Pulis cannot do so.
Sam Allardyce
Should Pulis leave you have to think that first things first the Baggies are going to want to ensure their Premier League safety and this man, regardless of what has happened recently, pretty much guarantees that.
He may not play the exact type of football the Baggies fans want but he’s got teams like Bolton into Europe and look where they are now.
He has to be considered.
