‘Ignore the haters’ - Tottenham fans react to player’s social media post following Dortmund win

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are on cloud 9 today. After a dismal display against Arsenal over the weekend, the Lilywhites in the pub were fearful of a repeat performance on Tuesday evening against Borussia Dortmund. The game had so much riding on it, and a loss could have left their confidence shattered.

However, what followed the backlash following the Arsenal game was a heroic performance from Spurs, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men coming back from 1-0 down to win the game 2-1. The result not only helps put their last defeat to the back of their minds, but it has also ensured that they will progress to the next round of the Champions League in first place.

It’s been a day of celebration so far in the Transfer Tavern, and our landlord isn’t expecting the party to stop amongst the Spurs players either. Following the game, Dele Alli took to Twitter to celebrate the win, firing a big thank you message to the Tottenham faithful that travelled to Germany.
