Leeds United’s crunch clash against Newcastle might still be a few weeks away – but it looking set to be one of the best fixtures of the season.
Whilst Leeds under Gary Monk are not quite performing to expectations, the fans in the Tavern are still optimistic about the season ahead. The Newcastle faithful, meanwhile, are loving life under Rafa Benitez, with the Magpies currently sitting at the top of the Championship.
It would appear that the hope of the Leeds fans and the expectation of the Newcastle fans has come together to form quite the spectacle; and it is looking set to be a particularly significant game at Elland Road.
As per the Football Republic on Twitter, the game is reportedly the first sellout at Elland Road in 6 years – which is a testament to how significant the fixture looks to be.
