With the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern oh so in love with Harry Kane, summer signing Vincent Janssen has a rather long way to go in order to fully prove himself to the White Hart Lane.
The hugely expensive summer signing has failed to wholly convince in the recent absence of the England man, scoring only penalties since joining from AZ Alkmaar.
A Dutch international, the 22-year-old was a hot property over the summer, also being linked with moves to Paris Saint-Germain and bitter north London rivals Arsenal.
Clearly, he’s still adapting to life on these shores and the Oranje star has been telling Netherlands-based media outlet Helden Online about life ever since his move to Hotspur Way.
He’s revealed that a meeting with club chairman Daniel Levy personally stepping in during his reasonably protracted switch from the Eredivisie, with Levy placing the importance of the club in Janssen’s head.
“The chief of Tottenham Daniel Levy also said that they wanted me very much and that I should have pride to be allowed to wear the shirt of Spurs”, said the forward.
