Introducing: Grady Diangana

It’s been a stuttering season for West Ham this year as despite pulling off some great results, The Hammers have been unable to put together a solid run of form.

West Ham were handed an incredibly tough start to the season as they had to play against Liverpool and Arsenal in their first four games.

They then managed to put together a three-game stretch where they drew with Chelsea but also beat Everton and Man U.

Since then, however, they have only won one game and currently sit 13th in the table. Within their stuttering form, there have been some star performers in Marko Arnautovic and Felipe Anderson but recently, academy man, Grady Diangana has emerged in the side and could be a star of the future.

The youngster made his league debut for the side against Man U and since then he’s made four appearances – all four being starts.

The talented attacker announced himself to the professional world as he scored two goals against Macclesfield in the club’s superb 8-0  in the EFL Cup. Talented with the ball and able to take players on in one situations, Diangana could be a huge asset for Pellegrini this season.

While Robert Snodgrass and Andriy Yarmolenko are good players, Snodgrass doesn’t have much dynamism while Yarmolenko won’t be able to play every game this season. Considering that he’s a young player, he won’t need to play all the time but could well be an adequate man to bring off the bench to add some pace to the side.
