West Ham United are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana at the end of the season, according to a report from The Telegraph.
The Hammers are one of four clubs thought to be keen on signing the 34-time England international, with Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Leicester City also believed to be interested. The former Southampton man is out of contract at Anfield in the summer, so he would be available to sign on a free transfer.
Lallana has struggled for minutes in Jurgen Klopp’s team this season, starting just three times in the Premier League and five times in all competitions. He did, however, make a key contribution against Manchester United, scoring the equalising goal at Old Trafford to ensure Liverpool retained their unbeaten league run this season (Transfermarkt).
Despite having plenty of Premier League experience with 194 appearances in the competition, it seems that lots of West Ham fans wouldn’t be keen on signing the 31-year-old. The main reason for that seems to be the fact that he does have a patchy injury record (Transfermarkt), with one fan suggesting that he would just be another Jack Wilshere, who has played just 16 times since signing for the club in 2018 (Transfermarkt).
