Is £30m Spurs signing really the ‘new Bale’?

It was a crazy day for the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern, who watched THREE new signings make their way to White Hart Lane over the course of Deadline Day.

While the notion of having Pau Lopez and Georges Kevin Nnkoudou now available for selection has obviously come as good news for the Spurs faithful propping up the bar, the signing of Moussa Sissoko is the major point of discussion.

Despite a strong European Championships for France, the 27-year-old was largely unimpressive for Newcastle United last season as they meekly succumbed to relegation from the top tier.

After a min-saga that also involved Everton, the marauding powerhouse made a last-ditch move to the Big Smoke in a reported £30m structured deal.

Such is the nature of the Les Blues ace, the move has cast a divisive spell over the fans on Twitter, who have taken to the social media platform to express their thoughts.
