Jose Mourinho has not enjoyed the best start to life as Man Utd boss, and a crushing defeat against ex-club Chelsea at the weekend has cemented that.
The Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are well aware that their side needs work – but they are beginning to fear that Mourinho is not the man to take Utd forward.
A few years ago, Mourinho was undoubtedly one of Europe’s best managers – but his form over the last year or so has been dreadful – as the stat below indicates.
As per OptaJoe on Twitter, Mourinho has lost 13 of his last 27 league games – whilst it took 135 league games for his previous 13 defeats.

Wow! That is surely no coincidence…
Mourinho has struggled at Man Utd, and continued in a similar vein of form to that of which he had at Chelsea last season.
When you consider his current form alongside the outstanding record earlier in his career – the picture begins to look even more bleak.
He is certainly a divisive figure, but our landlord is touting him to bounce back from this. He is simply too good not to.
