Could this former Man Utd outcast be the one to cure Arsenal’s striker woes?

Arsenal fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern want a striker, and they want one now. After weeks of being linked and missing out on top names, one former Premier League hitman has hinted that he could make a return, could he save the Gunners blushes?

Former Man United and Real Madrid striker, Javier Hernandez, has hinted that he may be in for another move before the end of the summer window.

Speaking to ESPN, the Bayer Leverkusen man said: “In the last two summers I was transferred on the last day, so you never know. I expected to stay in Madrid and in Manchester, but then I ended up here in Leverkusen.”

The Mexican international, who was speaking during the German outfits pre-season tour of Austria, scored 26 goals in all competitions last season, and could be just what Arsenal need going forward.

However, our Landlord pointed out that Chicharito would have to be deployed in a very different role to the typical Gunners forward.

The boss reckons that the 28-year-old would have to be given free reign to run riot up top as opposed to being asked to hold the ball up or play a slower role in the build up.

Gunners fans, we want to hear from you! What do you make of Hernandez’s quotes? Would you like to see him at The Emirates? Let us know in the comments below…
