West Ham United have endured a roller-coaster ride during the January transfer window, but seem to have finally found some steady ground, winning back-to-back Premier League matches and rising into the top-half of the table.
Now looking in a comfortable position to avoid relegation, the Hammers can build towards success that has eluded them in the first-half of the season, and fans in the Transfer Tavern are still expecting some moves to be completed before next Tuesday’s deadline.
It may not just be new faces coming into East London though, as our landlord believes there is two players in the squad that need to be shipped out on loan before the window slams shut – as it would be the best solution for all involved.
Having taken a look at the names, the Hammers fans in the bar agree with our landlord’s claim and are pushing Slaven Bilic to complete a deal regarding these TWO players.
Dimitri Payet

With Dimitri Payet refusing to play for the Hammers, West Ham refusing to budge on their asking price and Marseille refusing to up their offer, a loan move may be the only solution for Slaven Bilic to consider. Whilst it’s not ideal, it is worth exploring.
Payet has no way back into the first-team and has created a poisonous atmosphere around the club, so it’s crucial he is not still in the Hammers squad come February. If that means a loan deal with a permanent sale in the summer, then so be it.
Jonathan Calleri

A summer signing who’s struggled to find his way in English football, although he did score his first West Ham goal in last weekend’s victory over Middlesbrough, Jonathan Calleri has made it quite clear he also wants to leave the club.
Still one of the most highly-rated young strikers from South America, Calleri could become an asset further down the line- so approving a permanent exit so soon would be unwise. Whilst West Ham don’t specifically own the full rights to the player, they have to maintain what they have- and a loan elsewhere would suit everyone.
