It’s time for Koeman to get rid of these 2 Everton players this week

The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern have been disappointed with a number of their first-team players this season…

After a strong start, things have all fallen apart from for Ronald Koeman lately – and whilst a Champions League challenge looked likely early on, the Toffees in the Tavern are now just hoping for a top-half finish.

Koeman has drawn the brunt of the criticism, with many in the Transfer Tavern arguing that he hasn’t adapted well to life at Goodison Park, with some of the more cynical fans in the pub even calling for his premature departure.

Koeman hasn’t been perfect, but he can’t take all the blame, with poor performances from the players ultimately what is costing the Merseyside team.

There are a number of players within the Everton first team that are, at present, simply not good enough – and with Koeman likely to want to spend this month – a few departures need to happen sooner, rather than later.

With that said, it’s time for Koeman to get rid of these 2 Everton players this week…

 Gerard Deulofeu

When Gerard Deulofeu signed permanently for Everton, big things were expected.

The Spaniard had impressed whilst on loan, and his permanent departure from Barcelona was expected to give a boost to his confidence and help him realise his potential – but it just hasn’t happened for him.

He has struggled for form in recent weeks, and whilst he joined with a lot of expectation upon his shoulders – that expectation has largely dissipated.

Rarely a regular feature under Koeman, Deulofeu’s departure this month is looking increasingly likely – and Koeman would be wise to speed it up.

 Oumar Niasse

Where did it all go wrong for Oumar Niasse?

The Senegalese forward signed for £13.5 million last year, and was expected to produce goals and performances to justify that significant price tag – but in reality, he has failed to produce much of anything.

A few poor performances led to his dismissal from the first team, and under Koeman he has been frozen out completely.

Koeman has already revealed that his time in the first team is over, and he would be wise to force through a permanent departure.
