With Gerard Delolofeu recently leaving Goodison Park on a loan deal, the Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that a few players will follow his lead… 

The Spaniard had struggled for a few months leading into his temporary departure, and in many ways – a move away from Goodison Park was inevitable.

For the most part, Ronald Koeman has done well in his management of the squad at his disposal – with a host of players impressing under the Dutch manager.

However, several players have hardly had a look in so far – and that is something that needs to change going forward. One aspect of managing a top club is ensuring that every player is being utilised and developed – and if they aren’t then a departure makes sense.

With the transfer window coming to a close, permanent deals are becoming increasingly unlikely – so a few loan deals might be more likely.

With that said, it’s time for Koeman to loan out these 2 Everton players before next Tuesday

 Matthew Pennington

Matthew Pennington is a very talented player, but at 22-years-old – he needs to be playing every week.

He has yet to feature in the first team this season, and for a player of his quality – that is just not good enough.

The defender is quickly running out of time to assert himself and impress at the highest level – and a loan move might be his last chance to draw the eye of Ronald Koeman.

 Arouna Kone

Arouna Kone is never going to get ahead of Romelu Lukaku in the Everton first team, and a departure makes sense.

However,  given that he is likely on a pretty significant wage and has been out of form lately, it is unlikely that a club will want to sign him permanently.

He is already 33-years-old, and he is only going to go downhill from here.

A short-term loan move is far more likely, and will get him off the wage bill.
