After a slow start in the Premier League, the Lilywhites have quickly turned their form around – and a stellar spell over the festive period has put them right in the mix amongst the top sides in England.
After such a good season last year, everyone in the Transfer Tavern was expecting Pochettino’s side to challenge this season – but whilst other teams have faltered – it makes a change for a side to go beyond their expectations.
However, whilst Pochettino has brought the best out of a number of his players this season, there are a few men within his squad that have yet to really get to look in. This is, of course, a natural result of good form – with impressive players often difficult to drop from the first team – but the Argentine boss should look to act on that over the coming days.
If they aren’t going to play, a loan deal to get them regular game time makes sense.
With that said, it’s time for Pochettino to loan out these 2 Spurs players before next Tuesday…
Georges-Kévin N’Koudou
The deal to bring Georges-Kévin N’Koudou to Tottenham was a drawn out process over the summer, but when he finally signed – the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern were delighted.
An exciting, quick, technical wing-wizard, N’Koudou looked destined to bring a bit of excitement to White Hart Lane – but as of yet, he hasn’t really set the Premier League alight.
He certainly has the talent, but he hasn’t quite adjusted to England as quickly as Pochettino will likely have hoped, and a loan move might make sense.
He has yet to start for the club in the Premier League, and at 21-years-old, he really needs to be playing regularly. He could come back next season as an even better player.
Josh Onomah
Josh Onomah has slowly started featuring in the Tottenham first team, and he has all the makings of a top young player.
At 19-years-old, he has quality far beyond his years – but he hasn’t really had as much of a chance as he would have liked at Tottenham this season.
Like with N’Koudou, he has yet to start in the top flight this season – and he simply must be getting regular game time at his age.
Pochettino certainly rates him, and he has a bright future – but he needs to get his head down and play regularly.
