The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern can’t quite get their head around the latest transfer story involving Chelsea…
According to the Mirror, the Blues are keen on making a move for Tottenham ace Kyle Walker this summer – leaving those in the pub shocked.
Of course, Walker has hardly featured in recent weeks under Mauricio Pochettino, with the pair having had a bust-up – seemingly leaving the door open for a potential departure this summer.
On the surface, it is a move that might make sense. Walker is an attacking defender, that would suit Chelsea’s defensive system well, whilst the Blues are also likely on the look-up for defensive depth beyond Victor Moses.
However, the rivalry between Tottenham and Chelsea means that this deal is unlikely to happen, at least according to fans, and the Chelsea fans on Twitter have certainly voiced their opinion on the matter over the last few hours. They really aren’t hoping this deal happens…
