The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for the return of the Premier League, with fans hoping that the Blues will right the wrongs of last season.
However, until then, they’re going to have to settle for watching their side’s players in World Cup action. They’ve got a fair few to be keeping an eye on, and on Friday, it was the turn of Brazilian ace Willian.
Though not popular among fans, Willian was a key player for Antonio Conte last season for much of the campaign, though he did fall out of favour as the season progressed.
Indeed, it cannot be denied that, though on his day he was unstoppable, the Brazilian’s form was mixed at best, and it appears as though he’s continued that into his World Cup campaign.
He struggled on Friday as Brazil took on Costa Rica, and it came as no surprise to our resident Blues that Brazil were far more effective when he was replaced by Douglas Costa.
Unfortunately for Willian, it seems a lot of Chelsea fans were watching him, and most weren’t impressed.
Indeed, they’re frustrated by his form, and some are even calling for him to be sold.
