Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are feeling a little more comfortable at this late stage in the season with it highly unlikely that they’re going to go down now.
Indeed, with just four games to go they are seven points clear of the drop zone and really shouldn’t be too worried about dropping – no matter how poor this season has been.
Certainly, there was cause for optimism yesterday as they earned a draw at home to a strong looking Everton side and things seem to have been given a further boost with the news concerning Andy Carroll.
As usual, there’s been a slight worry about him not being fit already for the game next weekend against Stoke, but David Gold was quick to quash such fears on Twitter when a fan got in touch.
He said:
@davidgold Any news on Andy?

Good news for West Ham fans, then, as they look to get over the line to safety.
